Is params really necessary?

I know what params let's you do but doesn't using an array as parameter with the params keyword accomplish the same thing?

'params' is just a convenience feature - it's not strictly necessary. If you have a method with this signature: void MyMethod(params int[] array) { // code } you can either call it like this: int[] array = {1 2 3}; MyMethod(array); or more conveniently if you don't want to create an array first like this: MyMethod(1 2 3);
