jpeg to video(mpeg avi) conversion

Question

I am looking for a way to convert all of the jpeg images in a particular folder to a video file. Either via coding or a control. any ideas?

If using applications is acceptable to you then i know that sonic foundry screenblast can do that. Other programs can change them into a different file type and then you can run them over to other programs that can convert that file type to a movie. but i recommend using animation shop to convert them to a single gif then send that gif to screenblast to convert it to a movie. Again that's only if you are looking at applications as an option. but if you're looking for script alone this is where i exit...
