Load form on time

Question

Hi all Ope your all aright. i trying to get my form1 to load about 30 seconds after i click on the button with the code  form1 form = new form1();  form.show(); is there code to set time so that form doesnt load immediately but after some time like 20 - 30 - 40 seconds thanks.

Hey Marvin kakuru You can do it very easily by using T hre ad. Sleep (int miliseconds) method before showing the Form1. For this you need to System . Threading Class e.g. using System.Threading; //your code Form1 form=new Form1(); Thread.Sleep(10000); //1000 miliseconds = 1 second form.Show(); //your code

Well if the user can't do anything else in the meantime then you can use: System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(20000); // 20 seconds delay Otherwise you could use a timer with its Interval property set to 20000 or whatever. You can then add a handler for its Tick event by double clicking on the Timer in the VS designer: private void timer1_Tick(object sender EventArgs e) { timer1.Stop(); form1 form = new form1(); form.Show(); } In your button click you'll also need to start the timer: timer1.Start();
