Make Setup to run only once

Question

Hello I developed an application and created installation file (.msi and .exe). Now i need to make my setup to run only once. If any one know some good tutorial for this? Thanks in advance Regards Praveen

while defeating the installation it is better to apply some serial keys or licence keys to the user and finding mac address of the system and stops working of application is easy. to stop installation it is difficult to program in shield setup.

Only once means particular setup file can be installed only once. If some one copies and try to install means that must not be installed.
