I using Windows form with C# language. I am not able to find the control MenuItem in my toolbox. I use Visual Studio 2005. Instead of MenuItem I find only MenuStrip. Can we use MenuStrip instead of MenuItem? Your answer is appreciated.
Thanks,
Bala.

Yes. MenuStrip in very flexible menu, that allows different types of controls added to the menus. For example drop down lists, check boxes, images... You can fully edit it visually, so the usage is very easy.
If i understood your question right, MenuStrip is the menu you use in C# 2.0. But MenuStrip still contains MenuItems on it, so MenuItem and MainMenu (was it called this in C# 1.0?) is not the same thing...
