More than one Main Function in a Single Java File

Question

Hi friends I want to know that can we make more than one main function in a single java file. How to run every class in this file. Thank you.

You can have multiple main methods in a java file but the application entry-point (i.e. the main method where execution starts) will be one in the class which you pass to the java runtime i.e: java MyClass will call the main method in MyClass. main methods in other classes will then be treated as ordinary methods and can where appropriate be called from methods within the start up class.

Sure here's a very simple example: // MyClass.java import java.io.*; class YourClass { public static void main(String[] args) { System.out.println(Hello from YourClass); } } class MyClass { public static void main(String[] args) { System.out.println(Hello from MyClass); YourClass.main(null); } } If you compile this program with JDK 1.6 two class files will be generated - MyClass.class and YourClass.class. If you then run MyClass you should see the following output: Hello from MyClass Hello from YourClass The program will also work without error if you run YourClass but the output then will be the single line: Hello from YourClass

Thank you. but it not working properly and send error in jdk 1.6 . Can you send me code of this type of program.
