MVC Start Up Page

Question

I get this error when i run my mvc application.I have set Logon.aspx as startup page in my project. The resource cannot be found. Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed had its name changed or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly. Requested URL: /Views/Account/LogOn.aspx Where Should I change to Call my default page.

Hi Try like this 1. Go to the project's Properties 2. Go to the Web tab 3. Select the Specific Page radio button 4. Type Account/LogOn Regards Iftikar

hi while you are working with MVC you can set default page (Action) in RegisterRoutes function located in globel.asax. public static void RegisterRoutes(RouteCollection routes) { routes.MapRoute( Default {controller}/{action}/{id} new { controller = Public action = Home id = UrlParameter.Optional } ); } Please refer http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc668201.ASPX hope this will help you.

In MVC you do not have any start up page go to global.asax and set register.routes http://www.asp.net/mvc/tutorials/older-versions/controllers-and-routing/asp-net-mvc-routing-overview-cs
