Need pop up page values in the parent page

Question

Hi I have attached the files. The startup page is frmcontacts. When users checks a checkbox opo up page opens. User enters the data and clicks ok. At the ok button click on pop up page all the textbox values should be displayed in the frmcontacts txtaddress.text.. How to do it?

loading dropdown from database it's not a issue but the script which is written on popup page is not able to find out the opener page.

Hi In your attachment u r hard coding the dropdown control. But i have loaded the control from database table. Is it because of that i am not able to get the values in parent page?

replace opener.window.getelementById with window.opener.document.getElementById('txtaddress').value = address; and call the function on your ok button onclientclick.

Hi Krishna Pop up is opening but values from pop up page are not getting passed to the parent page. In the pop up page i have drop down controls who`s values also should be passed to parent page.. Like this. In the pop up page user enters streetcitystatecountryzipcode. All these values should get passed to txtaddress.text of the parent page @Suthish Sir where have u passed the openpopup() function in the 1st page.. I want it at the checkbox checked

Exactly what is happening? Popup not getting open or values does not come on parrent page from popup page? If popup not getting open check your browser allows popup windows. If you are using button control on popup window and providing OnClick=javascript:f2(); as attribute then it will give the error it's server side event for client side you need to provide like for button control onclientclick=javascript:f2(); which is client side event. if your are using hyperlink then onclick is valid. Please elaborates what's the error is occuring?.

Hi Krishna The file u have attached i tried to run it in VS 2008. It gives me an error that onclick is not a valid attribute. Thats y i said in previous reply that its not working.. Also i have to pass dropdown selected values from pop up page to parent page. @Suthish Sir where have u passed the openpopup function in the 1st page?
