Responsibilities
This developer will be responsible for refining requirements, designing, developing and testing time sensitive and high impact solutions. They are expected to manage deadlines, provide and support strong coding practices and provide documentation for both enhancements and new development efforts.
Additional duties include:
· Prepare functional and technical specifications for new development, integration modules and report development
· Transfer existing functionalities and features from older technology stacks (Visual Basic, Access) to contemporary solutions (C#, SQL Server)
· Add new functionalities, features and integrations for highly complex, data-driven systems, primarily using SQL
· Interact with external users, internal technical and functional business personnel to facilitate the design and implementation of solutions
· Resolve production issues related to custom reports, integration and configuration change.
· Perform code review for junior IT resources and manage source code versioning.
· Prepare and assists in the regression testing for new releases.
REQUIRED SKILLS
· Strong SQL programming skills
· Strong Visual Basic, C# and .Net development experience
· Mature and responsible development best practices experience in application development using SQL, C# and Visual Basic within deadline-driven environments
· Five or more years of SQL Server experience.
· Five or more years of relevant experience developing computer programming.
· B.S. in Computer Science or related technical field; additional post-graduate training and/or certificates.
· Stored procedures
· When to use different features available to SQL to the adv of operating environment
· Large DB and or high transaction environments
· Know how to use locking hints, what the locking modes are and when to use them
· Must be professional when handling work load in a semi-chaotic environment
· Ability to work an average of 50hrs per week
DESIRED SKILLS
· ETL
· Crystal Enterprise
· One or more years of Citrix experience
· Experience in the power marketing industry
