Its very Simple. NULL means nothing. i mean it doesnt contain any value. it doesnt mean that its equal to ZERO or Empty. NULL !='' or NULL !=0

hi NULL means that data does not exist. NULL does not equal to 0 or an empty string. Both 0 and empty string represent a value while NULL has no value. In C# null means one that does not refer to any object. null is the default value of reference-type variables. hope this will help you.

If a column within a row in a database table has a value of NULL then it means that the column has no value at all for that row. Technically NULL is a 'marker' rather than a value and is untyped. It can therefore be applied to any type of column for which missing data is allowed.
