Problem of ajax control tool kit

Question

I have followed steps but it is still giving error unknown server tag script manager

Rt click on Toolbox General –> add tab (give name Ajax Toolkit) –> then goto AjaxToolkit tab Rt Click –>Choose Items –>Browse choose AjaxControlToolkit.dll from its location which is also attached

Check out following:- (i) Have you used directive at top like (ii) Have you used proper TagPrefix in body like (iii) Compare the versions also AJAX Control Toolkit .NET 4 - Binary – AJAX Control Toolkit for .NET 4 and sample site (Recommended). AJAX Control Toolkit .NET 3.5 - Binary – AJAX Control Toolkit for .NET 3.5 and sample site (Recommended). AJAX Control Toolkit - Source – AJAX Control Toolkit source code for ASP.NET 3.5/ASP.NET 4. If you still find any error attach the project here.

Mayur Please do the following. 1) Install the appropriate version of AJAX Toolkit. 2) Check the version in GAC and import the control in VS toolbox. 3) Drag & Drop the script manager from Toolbox. Let me know the status after this.

I hope you got the solution by replacing normal script manager with Toolkit script manager. And as I told you your attached .dll is fine. So no need to do more exsercise in downloading other .msi files.

Hi. mayur u first download ajaxcontroltoolkit.Binary.Net4.0 (recommanded download) and in attachmet close other visual studio if it open. and do the process as u did.

You need to add AJAX Script manager to your page and then it will work. there is no problem with .dll file.
