Seeking career Advice

Question

Hi My name is 'Pavan' and I have completed MCA in 2014 with 67% and skilled with C#.NET ASP.NET ADO.NET AJAX MS SQL Server and MVC (only fundamentals). Also I have more than 3 years of experience into Technical Support for Windows. I have been looking for jobs on .NET or SQL but the companies are offering very less salary. Could you please advise me the path to be a Software Developer because that is my goal and I'm really struggling to achieve it. Please advice.

My advice is you join if company is offering you less salary also. You will get experience in software development. You work hard and earn more. After 1 year you can show 3 + 1 = 4 years of experience in software development.

Pawan your goal is to be a Software Developer. It's nice that you having basic knowledge of C#.NET ASP.NET ADO.NET AJAX MS SQL Server and MVC. Also you having 3+ years of experience in technical support. But companies will not count this experience in software development. So Pawan as per my understanding if you are taking at least 1+ years experience in software development field with even less salary then your next company will definitely give good offer. If once you have 1+ years in Software Development then companies will consider you like ((3+ in technical support ) + (1+ in software development)). So you should start & keep learning.
