Serial Port Access

Question

Hi

I'd like to know how can i read and write signals (0's and 1's) via a serial port connected to a hardware cct. into a c# program (act as alarm monitoring), all what i need is to read and write zeros and ones.

I'd check out the System.IO.Ports.SerialPort class ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.io.ports.serialport.aspx ).
