single sign on using active directory

Question

hey my project is on school management system and i use .net framework 4.0 and linq. i want to put(place) active directory on my server(karmac)for that what should i do.? then after i also put single sign on in active directory for authentication purpose. so please give me proper steps for that.it's urgent. Windows 7 is a client OS so you can't install AD in that machine. You need a server OS like Windows 8 Server / windows 2008 R2 server.

I need to more details here. We assume that you have installed AD in your windows server and what are the application needs to be used by SSO? Which is the main application to receive the user name & password  validation against AD and allow them to use your asp.net application ?

AD (active directory) can be installed the Server OS like WIndows 2003 Server Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 8 Server. Please let me know what is your local system OS?
