Single SignOn In Asp.net

Question

Hi I Developed ASP.NET application(3 Tier). Now the client requirement is My application should open with the Window credential(Now i have changed application user credential and Window user credential same). Can anyone please guide me how to proceed  i mean. When user opens my application it should not ask the credential it should take from windows credential. Thanks in advance

Hi When you are using Windows Authentication then you no need to require to validate password. You can only validate the current user against your database. In your main page (you can check in basepage also) get current user id by using active directory and then query against your table. if the user is exist then allow him to proceed else redirect to access denied/any error message page. As I said AD will return active and valid users only. So no need to password validation required. For application level check you can validate the logged in user is available in application table.

Hi Suthish Thanks Ok based on your reply we are getting user information. Then what about login validation all Here i am passing the username and Password argument to DAL from their am getting result Now without password how this will validation. User.Identity.Name will give the user info (AD) of the logged in user on that operating system. No need to do a password validation because always valid AD user can access the system.
