Question

Somebody ask me about synchronization in case of multi-threading but i could not give him a satisfactory answer, could anyone please help me in giving proper explaination?

Let us say that you and your friend want to meet for lunch but you both don't know when you wil have time. So you say that one of you will call the other at 11 AM. Well you are both busy at 11 AM but you call at 11:15. You both will be avaialble at 12:30. Then at 12:20 something comes up and you have to postpone until 12:45. You and your friend are sychnronizing.

Hi Sonakshi, With respect to multithreading, synchronization is the capability to control the access of multiple threads to shared resources. Without synchonization, it is possible for one thread to modify a shared variable while another thread is in the process of using or updating same shared variable.
