to run a exe in background

Question

Hello friends I'm programming an app which I want to launch from a MQ process when a message arrive. I have definited that process but I need when the app has been launched doesn't show the app's DOS console. How do I program it?. Txn for helping me.

I didn´t need to hide the form. In the window main() secction I commented the next sentence: //Application.Run(new Form1()); and after placed my instructions. Tnx for all friends.

Hi If you want to run an exe in the background why not just consider windows service? Isn't that easier? Cheers.

Ahhh ok I misunderstood your question. There are ways through Windows API calls to do this but I do not have any examples handy. Another alternative is to have the program be done in a form instead of a console application. A form can have the opacity set to 0 and ShowInTaskbar = false and it would accomplish the same thing you seek.

In addition If I do doubleclick on program which was done in C# It shouldn't show the console. Tnx.

Here ya go Process p = new Process(); p.StartInfo.WindowStyle = ProcessWindowStyle.Hidden; I just tested it to be sure and it worked for me.
