two different language file

hi this is kavita

I m facing a problem.My project is in vb.net. and a class file 'callfunction.vb' it is in app_code and one more file I want to put in app_code 'history',it is in c#. and give me this error

The files '/.../App_Code/history.cs' and '/.../App_Code/call_function.vb' use a different language, which is not allowed since they need to be compiled together. /

any suggestion?

Although it's possible to build multi-module assemblies (written in either .NET language) using the VB or C# command line compilers it's not possible to do this from VS which supports only single module assemblies. If you want to stay within VS I'd firstly compile whichever of your projects doesn't contain the Main() method into a dll. I'd then add a reference to that dll to your other project.
