update page every x seconds from fetching values from DB

Question

Hi ,

      I need to create an asp.net web application just like cricinfo,(with no page flickering) which will update the scores every 'X' seconds which will fetch from database based on some condition. If you guys have sample application so that i can look into and startup with, it will be really useful. Iam using oracle DB.
