Updating to Windows 10

Question

Hi I have been using Windows 7 in my Laptop (configuration below). Will it be a wise decision to upgrade it to windows 10 depending whether it will affect or slow down my system. Also my windows 7 is a genuine copy but I no longer have the key so if during upgradation the system asks me for the key then I won't have any . Laptop Configuration: HD - 500 GB RAM - 4 GB Processor - i5 5th Gen Thanks

You will get free (no key required ) upgrade from Windows 7 to 10. Your configuration seems good for Windows 10. After update if you get any issues then you can downgrade that to Windows 7.

Your system configurations are fine. You may notice performance issue when Windows 10 downloads and installs updates in the background. You will not need a Windows 7 key.
