well, thats a nice one: Microsoft didnt provide an Easy way todo this, its a bit tricky... in order to move a list between Enviorments you can built it as a feature.... once you have created the List there is a tool in the Sharepoint SDK called "SharePoint Solution Generator" use it to creata list definition, this tool will provide you with a set of XML and the List Scheme The Feature Structure is as Following: FeatureName -> Containing " Feature.Xml" and 2 more folders The Feature and "ListTemplates". ListTemplates will contain the Elements.Xml Feature will contain all pages of the list (EditingPage, View, Add, etc...) and the Scheme you will need to copy the Directory as it is to : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\FEATURES and after this minor headake you will need to activate this feature on the site you want it. hope this makes sense
