Using a Serial Number in deployment

Question

Does anyone know how to use the Serial Number property in the Customer Information custom dialog box. I'm just not sure as to where I am supposed to get the valid Serial Numbers nor am I sure as to how i can make it check. Frick Balls. I don't know who can help me

Hi! As far as I know the property you mentioned consists of one or more groups of alfa-numeric characters in an order specified by you. The characters may be significant to the validation of the key or may be not. The validation of a SN is the result of a methematic algorithm: the sum of all the significant characters must be divisible with 7. For more detailed info check the .NET help under the Deployment topic. Yet I don't know how you can implement a validation algotithm of your own as I faced this too. Hope it'll help you.
