Visual C# Express 2008 won't start

Question

When trying to create a new project in Visual C# Express, I get this error message:
"File is corrupt. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80113110E)"

What can I do to fix this? I already tried reinstalling Visual C#.

I think I'm getting to the root of the problem: .NET Framework 2.0 (with service pack). I tried reinstalling it, but the uninstaller was corrupt. Unsurprisingly, the installer said that .NET Framework 2.0 was already installed. So then I tried the instructions on http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/908077 but they didn't help. On top of that, all .NET Framework (un-)installers broke. What do I do? I'm afraid that's a little bit too radical for me. ;-) Also, when trying to load any existing project, I get this message: http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/8739/errora.jpg The associated help page is a dead track: http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/7352/helppage.jpg The Solution Explorer doesn't go into much detail either: http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/2271/error2y.jpg Recently my Windows partition was slightly damaged, so I had to replace some corrupt files to keep my Windows installation running. It's running just fine, except for this thing. Are there any troubleshooting tools I could use to trace what I assume is a corrupted DLL?

It is a radical solution but it could help: format the machine and resintall the OS then install VC# of corse keep safe your data in a separate location, I know its a creasy solution.
