Visual Tools for MS Office System problem

Hello Ive been googling all over the place for the past 2 days trying to find some sort of documentation on how to add new columns and or rows in Excel using C# with Visual Studio tools for the Microsoft Office System. I have really ran into a brick wall since the documentation for this is very vague. So my 2 questions are: 1. How do i add new rows and or columns through C# for excel? 2. Whats the paramater that has to be sent to Font.Background to change the bg of the active cell? Thanks in Advance to anyone who can answer this

I haven't taken pains over excel but I developed an application with reports in word so I have faces this lack of documentation also. I actually didn't find a door in the brick wall but a relatively easy way to break through it. The way around is to start recording a macro do what you do and then edit the macro. You'll see the methods that you need to call and the params you need to pass. It's a tough job though because it's in VB6 but with some try-outs you can do it.
