I am new to Windows CE .NET. I need the answers of following queries: 1. What is windows CE .NET 2. What is Platform Builder? 3. What is an emulator? any example? 3. How can we start developing an application for Windows CE .NET using Visual Studio .NET? What type of project option should be selected to start the application?

3. an emulator is a piece of software that emulates another device for example you can download an emulator for your pc from NOKIA that will allow you to see how a WAP page will be displayed on a mobile phone on you computer they are very useful but no replacement for final testing on an actual device. 1. CE = Compact Edition. Windows CE is the OS that runs on some PDAs. 2. No clue. 4. The Smart Device project is the one you can use in VS .NET to create CE applications.
