What we see on the Notepad?

I have a question?
When we open the Notepad and we focus on the barrecode to be readed with the barrecode reader. The code appear on the Notepad.
Now I am asking a question to know when we put the finger on a fingerprint what happen on the notepad (or what can we see on)?
