which site will help me over C ?

Question

There is a function of C which returns a string and the function is inside a DLL and I want to use that DLL with C#. Simple.... so do I have to use PInvoke or COM or etc.... Do DllImport and dllexport functions alone will not fulfill my necessity......? If they alone are OK then what would be the code...?

The code returns an int which is shown how to get ot in C# code. But sir how to get an int pointer in  variable of C# then my all problems will be solved...Please help
