I want to create a windows service which can talk to my application take data from my application and send it to data access tier on server.

I found one good example problem is there are dozens of bogus examples - for instance: http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/2/window_service.asp The good sap does a HUGE disservice buy doing work in the OnStart method - a GYNORMOUS NO NO to anyone knowing a modicum of Win Service architeture. You need to spin a worker thread off in OnStart. He thens adds insult to the jury by SPAMMING the page with machine generated code. His last grievous flaw is to omit the service installer code step.
