Write some sentences in HIndi but whole page in english

Question

Hello I am developing a page. I am stuck on a problem. The problem is that my webpage is in HTML and i am creating a table on that. in that few contents are in English but some contents are in HIndi. But Whenever i tries to write in hindi it shows something else. I ahve done so much googling but cannt get a single solution. So i want to know is this possible that i can write only specific content in Hindi and rest page will b shown in English and how? thanx in advance.

It's a simple example. If you want full support of font-face you need to generate fonts from the original file. To generate font files css and demo go to this url: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/tools/webfont-generator Don't forget to change path font-family and class names accordingly. Cheers! have a nice day.

As shown in the screen shot there is a '404 file not found'. See right to the error. There is the path where it's searching for file. Try to change path accordingly. Once you've fixed it. It'll work fine.

I'm using Visual Studio 2008. Open the demo as website browse the page and it's working like a charm. I don't know what's wrong by your side. You've to check for path in Developer Tools in Chrome (F12 >> Console >> Refresh Web Page). Verify there is no error like 'file not found'. Hope it'll help.

This is working example I just created for you and pasted here after testing it. Do you forget to include the font file? Change the src in css accordingly. src : url('/demo/fonts/k010.TTF') ; Check the Console in Browser Developer Tools for error (file not found if src is not set correctly).

Hi Priyank It's OK. Actually you see this because of default font-family. you should use Hindi font for this particular paragraph or div or whatever tag you're using. Edit: Be careful when using non-system fonts. When your application will be live... Your users may not have these fonts installed on their system. So now the good idea is to use font-face instead of font-family.

Actually i have typed in Hindi on MS-Word. But whenever i tries to copy paste it on HTML webpage it shows otherletters likes mdjsjncfjsdcnsc .

If the content is static then you can type the hindi sentence in notepad and paste it on web page.
