As a Project Manager, you will develop, manage, deliver and monitor complex technical project plans. You will also be responsible for the day to day project control functions for a strategic and high profile project that will shape the future of the organization on how it administers the products utilizing the technology. The manager needs the ability to review project documentation, identify issues and work to resolve them throughout the project lifecycle so that it is delivered on time and at the established quality level.
Project Management and Planning:
Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value.
Organize and lead project status and meeting.
Prepare and distribute progress reports to all stakeholders.
Manage risk and Issues.
Correct Deviation from Plan and perform delivery planning for assigned project.
Stakeholder Management:
Support the product owner in managing customer expectation for project deliverables.
Managing stakeholder communication and helping to implement an effective system of project governance.
Process Management and Improvement:
Define and manage a well-defined project management process and support ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for project management.
Team Management:
Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitment.
Removing roadblocks of their work.
Leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work.
Mentoring and developing team members.
Team Building:
Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution and encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.
Scrum
Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related ceremonies
Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress
Maintain process documentation
Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility
Knowledge/Experience/Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s degree,
- Master degree will be plus.
- PMI-ACP/CSM or similar project management professional certification.
- 3-6+ years of Project management experience.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in IT industry using Client Server technologies.
- Excellent project management skills, including time management and organization skills.
- Experience with Agile Methodology.
- Software development cycle knowledge a plus.
- Knowledge and proven application of project lifecycle methodologies.
- Software application proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with extensive experience with MS Excel and MS Project.
- Experience in handling complex projects within a technical environment.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- US TAX industry knowledge a plus.
