Position Summary:

The Application Developer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Flores and Associates’ core business systems. The application developer will need to demonstrate in-depth understanding of application design, coding, testing, and implementation in a .Net environment.

As a representative of Flores & Associates and the Information Technology department, this position has a responsibility to maintain business relationships and the credibility and goals of the corporation, the department and Flores employees.

Qualifications:

· Knowledge of software engineering concepts (requirements management, development methodologies, testing and documentation) and an understanding of how technology applies to business concepts.

· Solid software engineering skills and experience with one of the following competencies: .NET framework (ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, and ADO.NET).

· Experience with Web development mark-up and scripting languages such as HTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, CSS, etc.

· Experience with web services (SOAP/XML, RPC/HTTP, etc.) is a plus.

· Understanding of and experience with object-oriented design and development.

· A desire to work with the latest tools, technologies, and methodologies (Visual Studio 2015+, PostgreSQL, automated unit testing frameworks, Team Foundation Server, etc.).

· Demonstrated experience with web-based and/or client-server development.

· Experience in working with in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based project environment.

· Experience working on multiple projects at a time.

· Proactive desire to continue to broaden and deepen technical and business skills.

Requirements:

· At least 3 years of professional database development experience with Microsoft technologies. Familiarity/experience with C#, VB.NET, and stored procedures a plus.

· Knowledge of and determination to take on the entire project lifecycle, especially working as part of a team.

· Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

· Ability to learn and adapt to new products and technologies.

· Professional, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

· BS / Computer Science, MIS or equivalent degree required.
