Apple Launches “Clips” To Create Expressive Videos On iOS

Apple launches a new video creation app, Clips, that makes it easy and fun to create expressive videos on iPhone and iPad. Users can combine video clips, photos, music and animations together to express themselves in a video that lets users create animated captions and titles using just their voice. Not only this, you can share these videos on different apps like Instagram, Facebook, Messages app, and other social media applications.

Susan Prescott, Apple’s Vice President of Apps Product Marketing, stated,

“Clips gives iPhone and iPad users a new way to express themselves through video, and it’s incredibly easy to use. The effects, filters and amazing new Live Titles we’ve designed for Clips let anyone make great-looking, easily sharable videos with just a few taps.”

Here are some amazing features bundled with Clips –
  • Live Titles and inclusion of fun effects, such as speech bubbles, comic book filters, emojis, funny shapes, and posters.
  • Users are empowered to create multi-clip videos on iPhone or iPad without timelines, tracks or complicated editing tools.
  • The app is smart enough to suggest you whom you can share the video with, based on the people in the video, and based on your frequently communicated contacts.
  • The Live Titles can add animated caption in 36 languages perfectly synced with the voice of the user.
The process of creating your videos is simple, as described on the official blog,

“Touch and hold a single button to shoot live video and photos, or add them from the Photo Library. Then add artistic filters, speech bubbles, shapes or emoji. Users can also add full-screen posters with animated backgrounds and customizable text. Clips has dozens of music soundtracks to choose from, and they automatically adjust to match the length of a video.”

Clips is a free app that will be made available on App store in April. Also, it will be compatible with iPhone 5s and later, the new 9.7-inch iPad, all iPad Air and iPad Pro models, iPad mini 2 and later, and iPod touch 6th generation. There is only one condition, the devices must be running iOS 10.3.

Well! I can’t wait for April to come.
