Apple has released
iOS 10.3 with the biggest new feature reserved for AirPods owners. You will now be able to track the location of
Apple’s wireless earbuds in Find My iPhone app, either by playing a sound from one or two of the misplaced AirPods. You will also be able to see the location of your earbuds, where it was last connected to your iOS device over Bluetooth.
Developers will now be able to publicly respond to reviews in the App Store, and you will be able to label reviews from other users as helpful or not helpful. With this update, watching rented movies across various devices is much easier.
Another big change in iOS 10.3 is the significant changeover to a new file system: the Apple File System. This was first introduced at WWDC 2016, where the company went on to describe AFS as the “the next generation in storage.” After installing the update on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, AFS will go on to replace the existing HFS+ File system. There is a high probability that you might not be able to notice much difference except a slight increase in available storage space, but AFS is better for encryption, scaling across devices, and optimization for SSDs.
The company has also launched macOS Sierra 10.12.4. There, the new big thing is Night Shift on the desktop, which would go on to reduce blue light in the display, so as to help you sleep better if you were on your Macbook before going to bed.
