Currently, Google has announced that its
E2Email, an experimental end-to-end encryption system is now available for open source.
“Your security online has always been a top priority for us, and we’re constantly working to make sure your data is safe.”
Google has gone on to list the alpha version of a new tool, and it is known as the End-to-End and it’s a Chrome extension which has been made specifically for users who require additional security, way more then what Google already provides.
The company states,
“End-to-end” encryption means data leaving your browser will be encrypted until the message’s intended recipient decrypts it, and that similarly encrypted messages sent to you will remain that way until you decrypt them in your browser.”
Google informs that they will just be sharing the code, hence allowing the community to test as well as evaluate it. For more details,
