As we are moving into virtual reality world with latest Virtual Reality headsets as well as Augmented Reality headsets like Oculus Rift, Microsoft HoloLens, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Google VR, Sony PlayStation VR, Samsung Gear VR, Zebronics VR etc, HTC Vive VR headset has got a price cut of $200. The device was previously sold for $799 since its launch in the April month of last year but now, the headset costs $599. Well, that's huge.
HTC Vive VR headsets are one of the profitable products of HTC. However, previously it was a little off-pocket for beginners who are interested in virtual reality headsets but after the price cut, now it has become quite affordable, even for the students.
HTC Vive package/Box comes with various components (accessories) including Virtual Reality headset, a pair of motion controllers or a wand controller, and two mounted sensors
or tracking boxes. Along with this, it offers a free HTC Viveport subscription service for a period of one month, which provides with selected VR games to use for a trial period. The discount is from HTC Vive headset especially for its customers to afford its accessories, and feel the new Virtual Reality world.
It seems that HTC cut down the prices after the deduction in the prices of Oculus Rift, its core competitor from Facebook. To bring the experience of virtual reality headsets to everyone, Oculus has bundled both, the Rift and its touch controllers in a price tag of $499 and in summer sale the price are further reduced to $399.
In my previous blog "
Now It's Time To Travel Around The Globe With VR", we have seen Google Earth VR is available free of cost on its HTC Vive Virtual Reality Headset and due to this reason, it is one of the most selling devices around the globe.
