The renowned technology giant, Intel, has announced that it is discontinuing its most prestigious annual event “Intel Developers Forum” known as IDF.  IDF 2017, scheduled for August 2017 in San Francisco, has been cancelled.

On the official IDF 2017 webpage, previously the company stated that the IDF China will be cancelled and IDF San Francisco will have a new format. But now, the company has posted that the company is evolving its events portfolio and this is why the IDF program has been retired. Here is the full announcement.

It is a little shocking because IDF has been the prime event of the company for several years to make new product and innovation announcements. Even the IDF show is listed on Wikipedia and people love joining the event. It seems that company has evolved too much and is maybe planning for something huge, otherwise it would not have retired its signature tradeshow.

Well! Let’s expect that developers and investors will not be disappointed as we will see something big coming up from the camp of Intel.
