Microsoft has announced the dates of its world famous developers event, Microsoft Build.
Microsoft Build 2017, May 10-12 in Seattle, will be the place for developers to learn how to put these latest innovations into practice — and here is what the company shared in its official blog:
- Mixed-reality experiences
- Cutting edge, intelligent cloud apps
- Simplified end-to-end dev ops experiences
- Mobile experiences for nearly any device
- Apps that make your customers more productive
- AI-powered apps we have yet to imagine

Microsoft invites everyone in person or online, for keynotes, deep technical sessions, hackathons and opportunities in order to collaborate and code with fellow technologists, as well as Microsoft engineers. The tickets will be available for
sale from February 14, 9:00 am PST.
The company states,
“There’s never been a more exciting time to be a developer, or a more exciting time to build with Microsoft’s products, tools and cloud services. We hope to see, connect and code with you — at Build 2017.”
For almost 25 years Microsoft has been focusing on bringing the ‘developer community together’ and this year the hub for the build will be Seattle.
“Build’s also the place to get deep technical dives into the great things we’re doing today to help developers build the next generation of intelligent apps and services.”
The company stated that they announced updates to their Cognitive Services which will help the developers build apps, along with the announcement for current preview SDK for the Windows Creators Updates, and they also announced Azure Managed Disks and VM scales sets.
In the upcoming week, the company states, it will be sharing more opportunities for developers to deliver experiences to people, as they collaborate in Microsoft Teams. On March 7, the company has plans to celebrate a new generation of Visual Studio 2017 designed to help developers build on any platform, for any platform, using nearly any language.
