Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit 2.0 Available Now

Microsoft announces the availability of Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit 2.0, which is a deep learning platform known as CNTK. The beta version of the same was released in October, and now it is out of preview as Release Candidate 1. In this new version, Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit contains some useful enhancements before release of the production version of CNTK v.2.0.
 
The new version is available on GitHub under opensource license, with many cool improvements. A few key updates include –
  •  Support for Python 2.7, 3.4, and 3.5, C++, and C#/.NET Managed APIs
  • Python examples and tutorials included as Jupyter Notebook
  • Ability to add new user-defined core-components on the GPU from Python 
  • Built-in readers optimized for massive datasets
  • Reinforcement learning, a new developer AI method, is also integrated 
  • CNTK Evaluation Library integrated for CPU and GPU configuration that can evaluate models with Python, C++, C# and BrainScript
