Microsoft announced six new data transformation and connectivity features, which have been requested by several customers.
The new updates are now available as part of an
Office 365 subscription, however, if you are an Office 365 subscriber, then you can
click here to check how to gain the latest updates. If you have Excel 2010 or Excel 2013, then you can easily take advantage of these particular updates. All you need to do is to
download the latest Power Query for Excel add-in.

- New OLE DB connector.
- Enhanced “Combine Binaries” experience when importing from any folder.
- Maximize/Restore buttons in the Navigator and Query Dependencies dialogs.
- Support for percentage data type.
- Improved “Function Authoring” experience.
- Improved performance for OData connector.
