These updates will increase the ease of navigating the app throughout the suite, allowing you to gain access to your most frequently and most recently opened documents. These changes started to roll out in December 2016, and will continue through early 2017.

The Office.com homepage now displays the most frequently used apps, and with time, it will adjust this ordering based on individual usage.

Microsoft states,

“With Office 365 now available in 150 markets, there’s no such thing as a standard user. As we continue to expand the powerful Office 365 suite, we want to ensure each user has uninterrupted access to their favorite applications and services.”

Microsoft states that they have improved access to your unfinished documents, and now you will only be able to view additional controls within the “Recent documents’ list which will allow you to filter by document type across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. If you have some documents that you continuously refer to, then you can go ahead and pin them to the list, and now you can refer to them when you want, with just one single click.

This update also informs us as to what’s coming up. You will now be able to view in-depth the day’s meeting along with quickly responding to or joining Skype for Business calls with just one click. You will also be able to enhance  pictures, which will allow you to build stronger connections with coworkers and it will also help you to keep track of different teams and projects.

With this new update, you will now be able to create, view, as well as complete the tasks directly on Office.com, which stay in sync across Outlook on all your devices. If you need to add more details, all you need to do is double tap so as to open Outlook Tasks in order to add additional details.
