How to Add Two-Dimensional Filter Statistics Gadget in JIRA Tool in Testing

A Two Dimensional Filter Statistics gadget shows the statistical data for a particular selected issue filter, in a table format that can be configurable. Using this gadget the user can select a filter to retrieve all closed issues of a specified project. The user can then configure the Two Dimensional Filter Statistics gadget to display the statistical data for the specified project's closed issues, in a table format.

How to add the Two Dimensional Filter Statistics gadget to user's Dashboard

Add the Two Dimensional Filter Statistics gadget to the user's Dashboard using the following procedure:

1. Click on "Add Gadget" on the JIRA dashboard.
   
   
   
   The "Gadget Directory" window will appear.
   
   
   
   
2. Find the "Two Dimensional Filter Statistics" gadget and click on the "Add it Now" button just below the icon.
   
   
   
   After that click on the "Finished" button at the bottom of the Gadget Directory window. The Two Dimensional Filter Statistics gadget will appear on the user dashboard.
3. Configure the gadget by filling in the following details fields.

Saved Filter

Type the name of the filter (e.g. open, closed), or click on the "Advanced Search" link to search the filter/select a filter that you have created or select one of your favorite filters.

X Axis 

Select the issue field from the drop down on which the X-axis of the table will be based.

Y Axis 

Select the issue field from the drop down on which the Y-axis of the table will be based.

Sort By 

Select how to sort the values of your selected field from the "Sort By" drop down. "Natural" will use the field's general sorting order (alphabetically sorting order). "Total" will sort by the number of issues that match each value.

Sort Direction 

Using this drop down the user is able to sort the field values in Ascending or Descending order.

Show Totals 

Using this drop down the user can select whether to show totals for each of the columns and rows.

Number of Results 

Enter the maximum number of results that the user want to display per page.

Refresh Interval

Select the time interval from the drop down indicating the frequency that the user wants the gadget to update the displayed activity (on selecting never, the gadget will not update the displayed activity).

Click the "Save" button. The statistical data will be displayed corresponding to the issue filter in table format.
