C# Corner Delhi Chapter Meet, May-18, 2013 Official Recap

NOIDA (India), C# Corner Delhi Chapter Meet (WCF, Hands on Lab). May 18, 2013

C# Corner (www.c-sharpcorner.com), an online social community of over 3.5+ million developers today wrapped up its 1-day chapter meeting, the C# Corner Delhi Chapter Meet for May 2013.

This is a recap of the event.

Session 1

Session 1 was started by Dhananjay Kumar on:

1. Writing a first WCF service.
2. Working with a Data Contract.
3. Introducing WCF-REST Service.

C# Corner Chapters are local user group meetings that happen in various cities. Currently, there are many active chapters in INDIA located in Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Jabalpur and Trivandrum.
The New Delhi chapter is led by Dhananjay Kumar.

Session 2: Practical, Hands on lab

Session 2 of the event was focused on the practical, where attendees were given a chance to work on their respective laptops with Dhananjay Kumar helping them out.

The Session was so interactive that there came a situation where DJ wanted to provide attendees a break but they declined.
The stage was all set and DJ was on a role, on the other hand the attendees were going crazy since they were learning WCF live from their "GURU".
Since always DJ ended his session with a bang with a tremendous round of applause from the crowd.

Session 3

Session 3 was by Brij Bhushan Mishra on:

1. Exception handling in WCF
2. Various Operations in WCF

Brij took over from where DJ left off and finished his session in style giving the attendees just what the doctor ordered them.

Session 4

Session 4 was by Suchit Khanna on:

1. Instance Management in WCF
2. Security in WCF

                           Suchit Khanna, Developer at Royal Bank of Scotland and C# Corner MVP

Suchit gave the crowd full value for their time since he went deep into explaining things with attendees being fully involved with the speaker in the entire session.

There were many prizes up for grabs as well for the attendees.
