Introduction
Today, in this article let's play around with one of the interesting and most useful concepts in SharePoint 2010.
Question: What is Blog? In simple terms "Blogs help to add information and publish them on subscribed sites. They are arranged by category and date with new ones shown on top. It enables to sharing the content on a common platform which is useful for the users to access them". I think we are now good to go and implement this wonderful concept.
Step 1: Open SharePoint Server 2010 and navigate to central administration. Click on manage web applications. Navigate to any site created previously.
Step 2: Click on site action -> more options:
Step 3: Select blog and click create.
Step 4: The Blog is now created. Now it's visible in our main site page.
Step 5: Navigate to the developers blog tab and click on it. It will now navigate to take you to the created blog.
Step 6: Click on categories to modify them:
Step 7: Click on create new post on blog page. Now enter content and select respective category.
Step 8: Now the posted new blog looks like this:
Step 9: Adding a comment to the published article.
Step 10: Now check in manage blog section. Looks like this:
