Change Alarm Tone in Windows 8

Introduction

In this article we are explaining how to change the alarm tone in Windows 8. Windows 8 provides the Sound settings. You can set a tone of your choice for alarm notification. This application is very simple and easy to handle. We have a solution to set the alarm tone which you can browse, test and apply for alarm notifications.

How to change the alarm tone in Windows 8

Step 1

You move your mouse to the bottom-right and click on search as shown below:

In the search box, you can type the name "Sound" and click on the Sound.

Step 3

In this step, you will see the Sound window and click on the "Sound" tab.

Step 4

In this step, you will see a list of program events. You can select the Alarm Notification under Window. You can browse to choose a tone of your choice or you can select a window default sound. If you want to change it then first select one then ensure you can play it by clicking on the Test Button then click on either the Apply or OK Button.
