Disable Webpage Sounds in Internet Explorer Using Windows 8

Introduction

In this article we are explaining how to disable webpage sounds in Internet Explorer using Windows 8. Internet Explorer provides an option to enable or disable the webpage sound in Windows 8. Sometimes when you surf the internet, you want to listen to the music but many times a web site plays sounds when a tab is opend or closed or with when an error window pop ups which effects your ears and disturbs you. You need to disable the Webpage Sound in your browser. Windows 8 provides the Disable Webpage Sound in Internet Explorer.

Step 1 : In the Windows 8 OS, you can move the cursor on the bottom-right and click on the search box. In the search box, you can specify what you want.

Step 2 : In the search box, you can type the name "Control Panel" and click on the Control Panel.

Step 3 : After opening the Control Panel, you will see many programs such as System and Security, Network and Internet, Hardware and Sound, programs and others. You click the "Network and Internet".

Step 4 : In this step, you click on the Internet Options.

Step 5 : In this step, you click on the Advanced Tab and click on Play Sound in Webpages check box to uncheck for disabling webpage sounds under the Multimedia. If it is already checked then uncheck it.
