Introduction
In this article we are explaining how to enable the Lock Screen in Windows 8. If you disable or do not configure this policy setting then users that are not required to press CTRL + ALT + DEL before signing in will see a lock screen after locking their PC. They must dismiss the lock screen using touch, the keyboard, or by dragging it with the mouse.
How to Enable the Lock Screen in Windows 8
Step 1
Move the cursor on the bottom-right and select the search box and enter into the search box what you want.

In the search box you enter the gpedit.msc under the application tab and click on the window that is shown.
Step 3
In the window that is shown, you will see the "Local Group Policy Editor" window.
Step 4
In this step I want to enable the Lock Screen. Click on the Computer Configuration sub-category Administrative Template sub-category Control Panel sub-category Personalization and click on the "Do Not Display the Lock Screen".

In this step right-click on the "Do Not Display the Lock Screen" and select the edit tab and click on the edit tab.

In this step, If you disable or do not configure this policy setting then users will see a lock screen after locking their PC.
