Prevents Users From Changing the Sound Scheme in Windows 8

Introduction

In this article we are explaining how to prevent users from changing the sound scheme. Basically by default the user can use the Sound tab in the sound control panel to add, remove and change the System sound. If you want to change the sound then right-click on the Desktop and click on the Personalized.

After opening the Personalized, you can change it. If you enable this setting, none of the sound scheme settings can be changed by the user. If you click on the Enable Button in the "Prevent Changing Sound scheme" window, then you can not change the Sound Scheme. Windows 8 provides the Prevent Changing Sound Scheme. You can prevent changing the Sound Scheme with the help of the "gpedit.msc" command, as shown in the figure.

If you want to see the options for the Sound Schemes then right-click on the Desktop and select the Personalized, before "Prevent Changing Sound Scheme". You can show the option for changing the Sound Scheme. These are shown below in the figure.
