Introduction

This article describes how to Sync PC Settings in Windows 8. Sync Settings is a major feature and is available in Windows 8. Sync Settings allows a user to synchronize the personalization of their Windows Account. If you sign into your Windows account or Windows Live ID then the system automatically synchronizes all possible settings and passwords that are not yet synchronized automatically.

If you are not signed in with a Microsoft account then you can enable this functionality. Sync Settings allows Desktop Personalization such as color, background picture, lock screen, Ease of Access such as Narrator, Magnifier, Keyboard Input, Display Language, App Settings, Sign Info etc. First you open the search box and type the "Sync Settings" under the Settings tab.

Steps How to Sync PC Settings in Windows 8

Step 1

You can move the cursor on the right-bottom and click on the search box and type in it what you want.

Step 2

In the search box, you can type the name "Sync Your Settings" and click on the Control Panel.

Step 3

In this step, you will see the New PC Settings Window. It displays the list of Sync Settings for your PC. The first option enables you to confirm that your PC is used for synchronization purposes by signing in. Sync Settings can be turned off or on for Colors, Background Pictures, Lock Screen etc. You can Enable or Disable according your requirements.
