Introduction
In this article we are explaining how to turn Windows Features on or off in Windows 8. Windows Features are some programs provided with the Windows Operating System, such as Hyper-V, Internet Information Service, Media Features, IE 10 and others. Some Features are turned on by default and you can turn them Off if you do not use them.
In the earlier version to turn a features Off, you had to uninstall it completely from your System. In this version, you can turn back On features if you want because the features remain on your hard disk. In this version if you want to to turn off any features then you do not need to uninstall it. You can turn Windows features on or off in this version.
Steps How to Turn Windows Features On or Off
Step 1
You move your mouse to the bottom-right and click on search as shown below:

In the search box, you can type the name "Control Panel" and click on the Control Panel.
Step 3
In this step, you click on "Programs".
Step 4
In this step, you click on "Turn Windows Features On or Off" under Programs and Features.
Step 5
In this step, you will see the Windows features Window. If you want to Turn On any Programs or Features then you click on the check box and if you want to Turn Off programs or features then you clear its check box. If you filled the check box, this means that only part of the features are On and click on OK Button.
