Use Windows Program Compatibility Troubleshooter in Windows 8

The Program Compatibility Troubleshooter attempts to determine whether a program runs incorrectly due to have been written for earlier versions of Windows such as Vista and Windows 7. The Program Compatibility Troubleshooter helps to simulate the behavior of earlier versions of Windows.

With the help of program compatibility troubleshooting, you can determine what programs are written for earlier versions of Windows such as Windows 7. We know that most programs that run in earlier versions should be compatible with newer versions of Windows. If you want to compatibility test then you have to launch pre-installed programs with this tool and this tool helps you fix the errors.

Steps How to Use Windows 8 Program Compatibility Troubleshooter

Step 1: You move your mouse to the bottom-right and click on search as shown below:

Step 2: In the search box, you can type the name "Control Panel" and click on the Control Panel:

Step 3: In the Control Panel, you click the drop-down menu arrow in the category tab and select the "Large Icons":

Step 4: In this step, you click on "Action Center":

Step 5: You move cursor to the left bottom corner and click on the "Windows Program Compatibility Troubleshooter".

Step 6: In this step, you click on the "Next" Button.

Step 7: In this step, you select whatever program you want to use the Compatibility Troubleshooter for and then click on the "Next" Button.

Step 8: In this step, you click on "Troubleshoot Program".

Step 9: In this step, you click on check box according "What problem do you notice" and there is not a problem then click on "Next" Button.

Step 10: In this step, you select the problem to troubleshoot according your need and click on "Next" Button.
